OSX Kinect

  • Download standalone sample project (including source) that shows use of the Kinect and Cocoa.
  • Now with mesh view (naive implementation)
  • Uses freenect 2402fcd
cocoakinect.zip 10.6 intel only

Just connect the kinect and run, no libraries or anything else should be necessary.

  • Includes IR View, point cloud, normals, etc..
  • Uses shaders to maintain realtime rendering performance (60fps on a MacMini)
  • Included patched freenect b5798b0 with IR output support

  • Released cutdown xcode project for example purposes that only shows the rgb and depth views, and not the point cloud or extra normals as in the pictures below.
